PAUSE!!!!!
Before we dive in the our topic, let's recap some of the lessons learned in my first month of blogging:
1. It can be emotionally draining to recap some of the most painful experiences of your life 💔 BUT to learn that you've connected with people and that they are benefiting from you bringing some of your deepest, darkest places being brought to light is a humbling experience. To know that you've helped them to know they are NOT alone makes it all worth it.
2. Freedom. If I tell you my business, guess what? YOU GET IT FROM THE SOURCE! At this point, either you are rolling with me or not. No one can come tell you anything about me that you don't already know and if they do you should feel free to come ask me directly instead of whispering among folks who couldn't answer you anyways. Just remember, it's gossip until it's truth.
3. People might just love you MORE after they get a peek behind the veil. We carry our flaws No, I'll just talk about me. I carried my flaws, my shame, my embarrassment on my back in a heavy bag everywhere I went. To work, to school ,to church, to outings with my friends and family, on dates with my husband, even in my sleep... because I needed to truly release it and trust God that when the tea spilled, the people God said I needed and who truly mattered on my life's journey would be unwavering. So, to every person who reached out via FB, called, texted, emailed (Paula@R-Rae.com), and/or walked up and hugged me in support of what they read here in my personal space: THANK YOU!!!!!! Y'all came through in a BIG way with the confirmation I was on the right path. I'm forever grateful!
4. Even the people who choose NOT to roll with you (God bless them!!!) will follow your blog and be the FIRST to read your post even before you tell a soul it has been posted! Why??? Your haters really love you!
Haters add to your views by promoting you even more than your friends and family ever could. Why??? Because people LOVE drama! Pause. Whyyyyy???? Our first lesson on on dealing with our haters:
Dear Haters,
I love you, too😘 I pray that God finds you in the best of health and blesses you REAL good with all that you deserve. May peace and prosperity find you so that you can build the life you long for and continue to keep your cellular and Wi-Fi bills paid, not only at tax time but year round, so you don't miss any of my blog post EVER... and God, please give me future content that will plant seeds in the hearts and minds of my haters that will help them to continue to grow into the best versions of themselves. In Jesus name, Amen.
